Can I make this recipe without chilling?!

Question: Wedding Cookies

1 cup Butter or Margarine
1/2 cup Sifted Confectioners Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
3/4 cup Finely Chopped Nuts

Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Stir flour and salt together; blend in. Mix in nuts. Chill dough.
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough in 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Cookies do not spread. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set but not brown. While still warm roll in powdered sugar, cool then roll in powdered sugar again.

I don't care if they stay in the ball shape.

Yea but i would put them in the freezer at least.

Yes but the dough will be stickier and more difficult to work. I would try putting it into the freezer for 15 minutes if you are short on time

If you don't want to chill them, you don't have to. The texture will not be as short and tender, however, but they will certainly still be edible.
