When it's too much salt, you add raw potato, but then you take out the potato after it gets tender.

If it was me, I think I'd dump out half the liquid and replace it with broth. That should help. If it makes it too runny, just thicken it with corn starch as follows: mix 1/4 cup cornstarch with 1/4 cup cold water. Pour in some of the hot stew liquid to "temper" it. Then dump it all back in the stewpot. If it doesn't thicken up enough, do it again. It's easier to add more than fix it when it's too thick.

Good luck!

This is a guess, add potatoes, That works with too much salt.
I use wine in my stew but never vinegar.

Well, it's just a thought but if you have the other ingredients I would add all of them (basically double the recipe). You'd have some left over, but you can always save it and reheat, or take the extra to a friend or a shelter.

You could try adding some sugar to counteract the vinegar. Not sure how much. Just start with a tsp. and taste.

Add potatoes and sugar.

sugar helps to take the tang out
