How long can I keep fresh wonton wrappers in my fridge?!

Question: They're tightly wrapped, but come in huge packages. Can I use some now and some next week?
Thanks!!

The ones I purchase come in a zip lock type bag. If not place the remaining in a zip lock bag and store them in the refrigerator. Near the expiration date freeze them. The ones I buy come 60 to a pack.

Here is a neat recipe for them that is not the ordinary use at all but good.

Taco Boats

Makes 48 at a time

1 package Wonton Wraps
2 pounds ground beef
1 large sweet onion
2 packages of Ranch Dressing Mix
1 package shredded cheddar cheese

Brown your meat and chopped onion and drain. Add the two packets of Ranch Dressing Mix and blend well.

While your meat is cooking place a wrap in each muffin tin to form a little bowl. Pre-bake these (48) and place them on a large cookie sheet after pre-baked.

Spoon meat mixture into the little bowls and top with grated cheddar cheese, or the cheese of your choice. Place back in the oven and melt the cheese.

Create your own toppings, sour cream, salsa, shredded lettuce, green onions and so on.

Wonton wraps are fun!

Yes, one week is fine THEN freeze them in portions you will use and take out as needed, thaw and use. I do this and it works- you MUST thaw them first after frozen they will break when you try to use them

i freeze mine and defrost when i need them

I do, when I make Crab Rangoon I never use all of the wraps. I just wrap them back up in seran wrap and make sure to use them within the next two weeks.

I just had the same problem with egg roll wrappers. This is what I did..I used what I wanted, then wrapped the leftovers in saran wrap, and popped it into a ziplock bag with a damp paper towel, so they don't dry out. They should be good until early next week..but not any longer. Or just freeze them.

The only problem is the longer you keep them the more brittle they get. We usually make a big batch and freeze them. Then we defrost and fry them as we want. When I say a big batch I mean anywhere from a hundred +

fridge for up to two weeks or freeze them for 4 weeks, just make sure you squeeze all the air out of the bag before sealing and freezing because that can cause ice crystals to form if you dont
