Answers: want some thing different for dinner with pork chops

Heat up 2 tbs oil in a skillet. Quick fry all sides of chops. Tun down heat to simmer. Add sliced onion and one can of cream of chicken soup (low sodium). Simmer for at least one hour, or until pork is cooked through. Serve over or with rice and your veggie if choice.

I love to try new recipes or create my own! The simpler the better though. The other night I put my pork chops in a baking dish, poured roasted red pepper italian and parmesan dressing over them (enough to cover), then sprinkle a little basil, oregano, and rosemary on top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake @425 for 45 minutes. They came out tender and delicious! If you try this I hope you enjoy it!

Brown pork chops in a TBS. of oil, then add a cup of uncooked rice and 3 cups of water, put lid on and cook on low til rice is done, easy, and GOOD!

Here's one of my weekly staple dishes ( well, every other week)

I buy the thin cut chops
One Sweet Onion (the big ones - I forget what they're called)
Sage
Thyme
Garlic Powder
Salt
Pepper

Season the chops with the spices listed. Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet
Cook the pork chops until they are browned nicely - then pile on the outside of the fry pan.
Melt one more tbsp of butter, and add the onions - there should be alot of onions - they will cook down.
Sprinkle the onions with 2tsp of sugar. This is to carmelize them. Continue cooking - cover and check them often so they don't burn.
When the onions have browned, and reduced down, put the chops on a platter, and pile the onions on top!
So Good!!

For a great pork chop they really must be thick cut no less then 3/4"s of an inch . Be careful not to over cook and use a instant thermometer if you have one or just do it the old way cutting into one . Anyway believe it or not but shake & bake is pretty good ( pork or chicken ) for the fast way . Other than that you could marinate for couple days ( balsamic vinegar for zest then split stuff ,and use some chiken stock to burn up some drippings in the pan , make thick and drizzel over & serve . Marinating in apple juice with some apple sauce is well recieved too , as well as some grinders for seasoning . But the most important is the cut ( Thick ) . Mashed or roasted red potato's , apple sauce , baby pea's , veggie melody , sweet corn bread and don't forget the gravy . Last but not least a fruit baked pie . Good Luck & God Bless +
