Mix with just enough bread crumbs to hold it together, chopped green onion to taste, old bay seasoning. Form into small patties. Saute in butter. There's a receipe on the old bay seasoning but I usually leave everything except the above out. I like my crab not all the extra stuff.

I agree with kracker, but you may want to add an egg so it all sticks together. And cook over medium to low heat, they can burn easily.

This is close to the famous crab cake recipe that every Marylander knows and grew up with, though there are tons of variations and we all think our family recipe is best. Most restaurants at least base their crab cakes on it:

1 lb lump crabmeat
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1/4 cup mayonnaise (do not use dressing)
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
