How do you make breaded chicken breasts?!
Answers: i dip them in egg and then breadcrumbs and then fry them.
I hate to admit this, but one of my comfort food favs is to do Shake & Bake in the oven.
What kind of breading are you talking about?
If you want to make it like chicken parmesan, just dip it in am egg and milk wash, then into seasoned bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Then fry in olive oil for a few minutes or bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
Dust the chicken with a flour, salt and pepper mixture, dip into butter milk (or milk and egg mixture), then dredge back in flour mixture. Let this sit for as long as you can (throw it in the fridge for an hour if you have the time) it helps the batter stick. Then fry in enough oil to cover the meat on medium heat. Good luck. (I like using an electric skillet, keeps good even heat on about 325 to 350).
I like to use buttermilk!
1. Soak chicken breasts in buttermilk for an hour (use regular milk if needed)
2. Pat dry the breasts and lightly season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
3. Put 1 - 2 cups of flour on a plate. Add salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir.
4. Put 1 cup of buttermilk, or regular milk, in a bowl.
5. Dip dry chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shake off excess.
6. Dip chicken breasts into buttermilk
7. Dip chicken breasts back into the flour mixture.
8. Fry in oil or if you prefer, bake. If baking, be sure to lightly spray the tops with cooking oil so you get a nice brown crust.
Have a good dinner!
I found a killer breading for chicken breasts - Kellogg's Corn Flake Crumbs. It's sold in the flour section of the market. Dip chicken in mayo and milk solution, then in crumbs. 350 degrees for an hour.
I bread the chicken and fry them on each side for about a min or so, depends on how hot the oil gets. I like to use olive oil, doesnt make the chicken taste as oily. I then bake for 20 mins, depending on how thick the chicken is. This way works best, because the chicken is crispy and not dried out inside.
