Sandwiches!!!!!!!?!
Answers: What's the best sandwich you ever had, where you got it, and what was in it? If you can give me a recipe with the exact layering process and it sounds good, then I'll choose you as best answer!
There was once a delicatessen on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, Harry's, that served what they called a Harry Karry. Served on whole grain bread, it had rare roast beef, lettuce, tomatoe and creamy chicken salad.
My other favourite is a bacon buttie, like one from a small shop across the street from Victoria Station in London. It's fried back bacon served on hot ciabatta slices or a roll, slathered with butter.
I have a secret that can make any meat sandwich taste great.
Add some fresh corriander. People always love them!
Don't try this with pb&jam, cheese wizz etc...
This is my favorite. Bennigan's used to serve this years ago, and it's been my favorite ever since.
1 pound chicken breast meat, cooked, skinned, boned and diced
1/2 cup diced celery
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 cup toasted almonds
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup crushed pineapple, well drained
alfalfa sprouts
Place chicken in large mixing bowl; add celery and mix. Add remaining ingredients and mix with rubber spatula. Serve on a fresh croissant with lettuce.
This is one of my favorites.
I take a whole grain bread or my favorite is "Health Nut"
Spread on some wasabi mayo. Then I add roasted red peppers, cucumbers and avocado. Sometimes I add on a little deli smoked turkey. It may sound crazy but it is really good.

Bake 5 minutes. Carefully turn sandwiches and continue baking until golden brown. Serve with Dijon mustard dipping sauce.
Dijon mustard dipping sauce: 1/2 cup sour cream 2 tbsp. milk 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard Mix well and then chill until ready to serve.
Love this sandwich! I like using red raspberry preserves or jam as a spread.
My fav sandwich is fresh smoked turkey sliced thin..not the deli crap. sliced baby swiss and sliced smoked gouda, thin sliced tomato, fresh baby spinach leaves on a warm toasted croissant with a dijon mayo. Also have had it with a raspberry vinegarette rather than the dijon mayo. they are both wonderful.
If using the dijon mayo then you spread that on the warm croissant, then put on the meat, cheese, the spinach and then the tomato. If you use the vinegarette then you sprinkle it on top of the fillings before putting the top croissant on.

2 slices of whole wheat bread, mayonnaise on bottom slice of bread. Slice of turkey, co-jack cheese, piece of lettuce. Then slice of ham, cheddar cheese, slice of onion. Another slice of turkey, swiss cheese, and slice of tomato. Spread top piece of bread with mayo. You can make this yourself. This is what Dagwood Bumstead used to eat. Therefore, the Dagwood sandwich.
We buy shaved meats of all types in Hillshire's Deli plastic contain at the grocery store. You will find them in the lunch meat section. Hams, beef, salami, etc. Delicious.
When making a sandwich, pile it high with the shaved meats. Don't forget the cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions with olives on the side.
P.S.
You can mix these meats to make a "Dagwood" sandwich.
