I love plain rice with butter and a little salt. But you can also use chicken or beef broth in place of the water. Some people add sugar and milk to their rice. Can you tolerate anything else? I have some great chicken and rice recipes. Chicken is usually very easy on your stomach. Here are a few:

Creamy Chicken & Rice Casserole

2 celery ribs, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 cup frozen peas
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups cubed cooked chicken
2 cups cooked rice
1 cup crushed potato chips or crushed Ritz crackers

In a small skillet, saute celery and onion in butter until crisp-tender. Place in a bowl; add the mayonnaise, soup, peas, lemon juice and salt. Stir in chicken and rice. Transfer to a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with potato chips. Bake, uncovered, at 350oF for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.

Creamy Crockpot Chicken

1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 cups sour cream
1 can cream mushroom soup
Salt and pepper to taste
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Combine first 4 ingredients. Pour over chicken in crockpot. Cook on low 8 hours. Serve over noodles or rice.

CROCKPOT CHICKEN AND RICE CASSEROLE

4 chicken breasts
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 stalks celery, diced
1 bay leaf
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Bell's Poultry seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup Minute Rice

Mix the cans of soup with the rice at the bottom of the Crockpot. You may substitute the type of soup you use in any combination (for example: 2 cans cream of chicken soup and one can celery soup).
Add the diced celery, onion, and garlic and stir. Submerge the chicken in the soup.

Turn heat to high for 10 minutes, then reduce to medium and cook for 4-5 hours. Or cook on high for 3-4 hours.

Pork Parisienne

6-8 boneless pork chops
Salt and pepper
Paprika
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 small can sliced mushrooms
1 cup sour cream
? cup water

Sprinkle pork with salt, pepper, and paprika. Place in crockpot. Mix soup, water, mushrooms, and sour cream. Pour of pork chops. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover and cook low for 6-8 hours. Serve over rice or noodles.

For chicken parisienne: Substitute the pork for 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Easy Creamy Chicken

6-8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup
1-3oz package cream cheese
1-8oz carton sour cream
3-4 green onions, chopped

Place chicken in 9x13 dish. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and good seasoned salt. In saucepan, combine soup, cream cheese and sour cream on low heat just until cheese melts and ingredients mix well. Pour mixture over chicken, sprinkle green onions on top. Cover, bake at 300 for 1 hour. Uncover and bake another 15 minutes. Serve over noodles or rice.

Congrats on your baby. Hope you feel better soon!

the Rice has sugur and also could be made into oatmeal.

I like mine with just butter and some salt!!

This sounds silly, but I eat this when I am nauseated (after migrianes):
1. Cook rice in rice cooker.
2. Put rice in bowl and add a little soy sauce
3. Cook an egg, over easy with lots of pepper
4. Put egg on top of rice and eat

It always makes me feel better.

Cook your rice in coconut milk instead of water, and top it off with a little bit of sugar, it's wonderful!

Or you could make a rice pudding

2 1/2 cups (600 ml) of whole milk
1/3 cup (66 grams) of long or short grain white rice
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/4 cup (50 grams) dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/3 cup (40 grams) raisins

1 In a medium heavy bottomed saucepan, combine milk, rice and salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer until the rice is tender, about 20 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

2 In a small mixing bowl, whisk together egg and brown sugar until well mixed. Add a half cup of the rice mixture - a Tablespoon at a time - beating to incorporate.

3 Add egg mixture back into the saucepan of rice and milk and stir, on low heat, for 10 minutes or so, until thickened. Be careful not to have the mixture come to a boil at this point. Stir in the vanilla. Remove from heat and stir in the raisins and cinnamon.

Lots of simple ways:
1) butter and salt
2) a little garlic pepper/salt seasoning - McCormick makes this in a little grinding jar.
3) soy sauce and some frozen veggies for a faux fried rice
4) make some package brown or onion gravy, add a little worcheshire sauce and that makes a great gravy over rice.
5) enough chicken broth to season and soak into the rice, then add some frozen veggies (I like lima beans).

have fun!

Mix 1 packet chicken boullioun with hot water (makes one cup)

Add 1/2 Cup rice, regular grain or 1 cup Minute rice.

Place in microwave for about 5 Minutes
Cover with a lid or a plate and let stand for another 5 minutes

u could get the minute rice
it's pretty good and it comes in white or brown

Instead of water, cook rice in chicken broth.. You can add poultry seasoning, sage, just about anything.
