When cooking rice, a general rule is the water is double the weight of the rice. So if you cook a cup of rice, you use 2 cups of water. But fried rice should be a bit underboiled, so I'd cut back 1/4 cup and watch it closely (stopping it around 18 min instead of 20). That answers your question, although you may want to ask a second one about how to make great fried rice (because the answer isn't just in the boiling).

Fried rice is best made with steamed rice which was made a day or two before.

Just get the Success brand boil in the bag. I have bought Minute Rice in years.

for every cup of rice use 2 cups of water
1cup rice =2cups of water
2 cups rice=4cups water
and so on...

first of all, cook the rice with twice as much water as there is rice (1 cup rice, 2 cups water). Cook until the water is gone, but don't burn the bottom!

Then comes the most important step: The rice must be COLD!

Finally, don't use too much oil. a tablespoon is plenty for a cup of rice, just make sure and keep it moving over fairly high heat.

Hello, go to the store and buy Uncle Ben's Rice in a bag. It comes in a box with four bags inside. Put two cups of 8oz of water in a sauce pot and let it boil for 5 minutes. Take a fork, stick it in the bag, the bag have holes in it so the water will drain, tear the bag at the dotted line and pour the rice in a boil. Bada Bing you have fluffy rice.

After washing the rice... In the rice cooker pot, place your hand on the rice and fill water till the water reaches the top of your palm..

That normally works for me.....

Measure, then rinse the rice cmpletely twice, drain, and add equal parts water (1 cup water for every 1 cup rice). Cook in a rice cooker.

Sticky rice sometimes is not the fault of the amount of water, but the kind of rice you use. I prefer long grain, because the rice turns out fluffy and perfect for frying.

First, get a rice cooker! You will never screw up rice again with one of these.
Add some rice, add water. Place the cooker on a flat, level surface. Put your index finger into the water so that the tip of your finger is touching the rice. The water should be at the first joint line on your finger.
Cook!
If you prefer your rice a bit wetter or drier, adjust the water level as needed.
