Was anyone else a little disappointed with "engagement chicken?"?!

Question: I cooked it for my guy last night. Not expecting a ring but figured I could give it a try and see if it gives him a push in the right direction. I cook all of the time anyway, and I don't really think he was more impressed with that dish than anything else I have made in the past. I think it suprised him that I had cooked a whole chicken, and he was interested in what I did with the lemons. He did comment that it was juicy, but I found it to be a bit bland and not too spectacular. I definitely don't see a ring in my near future...

It's the 21st century now...it may not work.
Even if your cooking is not the chef class, he should at least appreciate how much effort you had put in to cook the whole chicken.
I think he isn't interested in tying knot.

Honey if your pinning all your hopes on a baked chicken, there may be a problem.

Don't believe the hype surrounding that recipe. If he loves you, he'll propose even if you serve him meat on a stick! It's just chicken with lemon, big deal.
