What is a good type of cheese for steak fajitas other than shredded cheese?!

Question: I was thinking blue cheese. I want something outside of the usual shredded cheese. Do you think these tastes would work well together? If not, what do you recommend?

Pepper Jack cheese is by far the best for fajitas. It has a little spice to it, and is delicious. Tillamook is prolly the best of the pepper jacks as well. Enjoy the fajitas.

idk, goat cheese

Maybe you should try monterey jack cheese.

Blue cheese would go well with the steak in the fajitas. Some stores have it pre crumbled.

hey, i never thought of that before but i bet the blue cheese would taste great. how about some fontina or some manchego cheese.

Try feta cheese, crumble it up first... It gives a nice saltiness without overpowering it. Otherwise, as others suggested before me, some kind of blue cheese might do well, perhaps Gorgonzola.

sounds good to me....A lot of places serve it atop steaks ,,,,,

nah i reckon blue would be a bit wrong... that's just personal taste though. If i want a change i just use jalapeno havarti slices- its beautiful!

blue cheese sounds really good. ill have to try it. in the mean time you could try sliced Velveeta cheese on a warm piece of meat it'll melt nice and taste great.

blue cheese would be GREAT on beef fajitas!

Do you mean cheddar cheese? Not all shredded cheese is the same. There are tons of different kinds of shredded cheese, so I'm sure lots of them would taste great. Anyway, you could always get a hunk of cheese from the deli and shred/chop/slice your own. I really like meunster cheese. It's really yummy and kind of tastes like mozzarella. Bleu cheese is a little strange to go with Mexican food, but I bet it would taste fine.

Monterrey jack
