I have eggs in the fridge that read expires the 27 of this month?!

Question: so today is the 28,are they fine ya think.

Answers: so today is the 28,are they fine ya think.

fill a bowl with water....add each egg one at a time...if they don't float they are fine....

huh! expired already...ok..

yeah it is only a recommendation would eat them no later than today though

Think I read somewhere that eggs are good 3 weeks after the cartn date. They just can't sell them after the date on the package. Check an egg website or google it... I think you'll be fine. ;)

they will be good

Try the float trick, but if u don't wanna then crack it on open smell the yolk & everything make sure it smells natural and that nothing red is n the yolk or its not any other color but yellow. Just don't try eating this a week later today should be the last. I'll tell u what my teacher says when n class & I'm iffy on if I should throw something away or not "WHEN IN DOUBT THROW IT OUT" lol

Make some fried egg sandwiches and eat them up quick.

fdsssss

they should be ok if you have kept them in the fridge, but if you dont want to risk it start throwing them at youre neighbours car,(I would lol) have terrible neighbours by the way.

When this happens to me- I hard boil them.
After that I can use them, to slice for added Protien
for my salads.

They can still be used for about a week after the expiration date.
Fresh eggs are valued for their firm round yolks and thick whites. Yours just will not have the firm yolk and the white will be a bit runny. Still good for cooking, though.

Typically, they last around 2 weeks past the date.

Eggs in water test is accurate:

Sink = good
Float = bad. (Gasses building up inside)

If I see this in my fridge, and do not have an agenda for them, I boil them all up. Several ways to use:

*Ingredient in something else. i.e. salad
*Deviled eggs.
*Boiled egg on the run.
*Egg salad.
*Put them in a jar of pickle juice--just not sweet kind--and marinate a few days, THEN make your egg salad! Yum. (Yes, they turn yellow/green on the outside but this way you know they are marinated!).
*Curried egg salad.

Boil them up and pickle them.
My adult sons love pickled eggs fixed like this.
Buy a jar of pickled beets, remove and serve most of the beets. Save the juice and remaining beets.
Boil and peel enough eggs to fill a clean jar. Add the pickled beet juice and remaining beets. If you need a little more juice to cover eggs, just add some cider vinegar.
Close with lid and chill in the refrig for a couple of days before serving. Yum..Yum...Yum!
The eggs will be a lovely dark pink color!
