Brown well on both sides in a large skillet with a little oil, add a can or 2 of beef gravy and a can of mushrooms (do not drain as the beef gravy is a little thick, if you do drain the mushrooms add some water. Chop up a few onions if you like, cover and when the gravy starts to boil turn down the heat to a low simmer and cook for about an hour or 2 depending upon the size of the meat. The longer you cook it the more tender the meat will become, eventually falling apart into "shredded beef" after about 3 hours.

Slow cooker:) just kidding.

This sound good. I don't know how short you're talking but this should be good.

Happy cooking.

CHUCK STEAK SPECIAL

1 can mushroom soup, undiluted
2 or more tbsp. onions
1/2 to 1 pkg. onion soup mix
