What is the best way to cook and season pork tenderloin? What is a good side dish to match?!
Answers: Personally, I marinate mine in extra virgin olive oil overnight. I then grill it sprinkling on All Season Salt with Ground White Pepper. Once this is cooked I quickly wrap it up in Saran Wrap, and steam spinach, carrots and new potatoes together. While those are steaming, I slice up grapefruit and put it in a small bowl with grapes. This is a very healthy meal.
This is an all in one recipe, even if you don't make this today, try it some time
Pork Tenderloin with Root Vegetables
Recipe courtesy Paula Deen
1 (1 1/2 to 2-pound) pork tenderloin
Marinade:
1/4 cup soy sauce

2 green onions (green parts only), chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 45 minutes or until meat is 145 degrees F when measured with an instant-read thermometer. Allow meat to rest about 10 minutes before cutting into 2-inch serving pieces. Drizzle a small amount of the meat juices from cooking over each piece of meat. Serve with the root vegetables.

5 carrots
2 rutabagas
5 turnips (roots only)
Olive oil

Peel and cut root vegetables into large chunks. Arrange in a roasting pan and season with olive oil and House Seasoning. Roast until tender; first check vegetables for doneness after 25 minutes and then every 10 minutes thereafter. Serve with the pork.
House Seasoning:

Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
A super eay thing to do that my husband loves, is to marinate in lemon pepper marinade ( Lawry's makes a good one) the slow roast in the oven, or grill. When I do that, we have mashed potatoes and roasted asparagas
Slice it across the grain 1/2 - 3/4" thick. Season with s & p and pan fry it in butter. Serve with buttermilk biscuits, sliced tomatoes, eggs and grits.
So many great ways! Season pork with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder. Drizzle oil on the bottom of baking dish, place pork in dish, set temp for 400 and bake for 30 min. After, 30 min. Baste with any sweet sauce with a dash of balsamic vinegar...I've used blueberry jam with maple syrup or honey; orange marmalade with brown sugar, etc. Bake for another 15 min. Use extra sauce for serving. Mashed potato or pilaf rice is great with any veggie or salad. Bake a few biscuits and you're ready to go. Enjoy
We love a curried pork tenderloin. Take 1/2 cup mango chutney, 1/4 cup orange marmalade, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2 tsp cayenne powder, 1/2 tsp curry powder and 1/4 tsp salt. Marinate your pork in this mixture for 1 hour then bake at 350 in the sauce for 45 min to one hour. Let meat rest for 10 minutes before serving in slices with sauce. Serve with mashed potatoes and baby peas- its very good!
Season it with allspice, salt and pepper
and serve it with red cabbage

The last time I made port tenderloin I put a light coating of margarine on it and rolled it in "Crazy Salt" and cooked it in a small rotisserie. We usually have a green salad and potatoes. Scalloped (which I can't tell you how to make because mine never turn out -- my sister makes those) or Twice Baked (bake the potatoes, carefully cut in half and clean out the skins leaving shells you can put the mixture back into - mash the insides with butter/margarine and grated cheese to taste, scoop back into the skins, sprinkle tops with grated cheese and bake about 20 minutes until cheese is melted and insides are warm again).
Yams,an some kind of Greens,Rolls, with Sweet Tea on the side...,
libbiyami's recipe sounds terrific. esp the sauce.
I don't know if it's the best way but it's my way and my kids make sure there's no leftovers...so here it is...
The meat will cook for 20 minutes in a preheated 400 oven.
I make rice in chicken broth with golden raisins and toasted pine nuts and I also have chopped onions and carrots.
Then I steamed some broccoli's...
You can saute your onions and carrots in a large saucepan with butter and then add the chicken broth and rice and let simmer for 20 minutes..then add your raisins and pine nuts...while your tenderloin is cooking in your oven...and your broccoli's is steaming in your steamer or just microwaving...
