Making Pizza?!

Question: So, I have a pre made pizza dough in a sealed bag from the grocery store.
After I roll it out...is there any other precautions I should take? Should I pierce the dough with a fork? Should I not pierce it on the crust? Should I put olive oil on where the "Crust" will be?

If you pierce it, you won't get as many bubbles in the crust (which I like, but other people don't). Pre-bake your crust a little and don't use too much sauce. A little goes a long way and too much will make your pizza soggy. If you have a baking stone, it's the best for pizza. I like to brush on some olive oil on the crust and then sprinkle on some garlic powder and Parmesan cheese.

Butter the pan and paint olive oil on TOP of dough to make it golden brown.

Don't pierce the dough unless it tells you, keep your sauce roughly 3/4 to 1 inch away from the edge, you can brush it with olive oil if you like. I like to brush the edge w/a little olive oil and then sprinkle a tiny amount of crushed rosemary & grated parmeasan cheese.. yummy.

you could pierce it with a fork
you do not need to put olive oil on it
pasta sauce works

if it's raw dough, prebake it for a few minutes before loading it up with sauce and toppings. Just put it in the oven for 5 minutes or so and then take it out, add your sauce, toppings and cheese and pop back in until done. If it's a pizza shell, you don't need to prebake, just add toppings and bake. Don't pierce it, not necessary

Just roll it out....add some Olive Oil on top or you don't have to do that...just add your sauce and toppings..and cheese and bake it like it says on the package....and your good to go.....
I am having Homemade Pizza tonight too!!

Enjoy yours...for I am going to enjoy mine!!

i dont know about making THAT type of pizza but i do know a fast yumy burn-free way. you take a tortia wrap and put pizza sauce on it wiht cheese on top pop it in the microwave for 1:00 and u have fast-pizza!

I live off of these things, I just flour the surface area, stretch it and stick it on a baking sheet. I use olive oil if I'm not using sauce, I'll make it garlicky and use cheese
