200 for about a hour or longer depending on size, just keep giving it a squeeze see if it is soft, yeh i totally agree oven cooked is so much better

200 for 1and a half hours. Perfect

im no cheif ok but i wash mine, stab it a bit then smother oil in it a little and put some salt over it and then put it in my electric over on about 100-150 for a hour or jus keep checking it and putting a fork in it to see if its done, if the fork comes bk out and still feels cold on the end its not done

You can cook them at any temperature you like - it will just take longer if it's a lower temp! Try an hour at 180C (350F) for a reasonably large potato - pricking them helps and inserting a skewer will cut down on cooking time.
I sometimes give them 5 minutes in the microwave first if I'm short on time and then finish them at 200C (400F)for maybe half an hour.
Enjoy!

My, you're in a cooking mood today!

Gas/Electric - no difference.

Microwave - gently coat the spud with vegetable oil (yeah, it gets messy) and wrap it in cling-film - cook it until you can fairly easily slide in a sharp knife - then let it stand for a few minutes.... that's what most ppl forget, microwaved food carries on cooking after you take it out....

i always microwave the potatoe first for 6 mins then cover in oliver oil and sea salt the wrap in tin foil and bake at 190oC ( preheated ) for about 45 mins

i always open the tin foil to see if skin crispy if not i put that make in for another 10 mins

* never put tin foil in the microwave or cling film in the oven *

I cook mine in the microwave for five minutes and then put them in the oven on 220 for about fifteen to twenty minutes and then they are crispy.

Pop them in the microwave for 8-10 minutes for 2 large ones, this gets them gong then blast them on 200 gives a gr8 crispy skin without having to wait for too long.

Depends on the size of the spud!
OK for a medium size I'd use only 175 degrees centigrade and cook for 1 Hour; longer if it's one of those things like a neck-less wine bottle! If you are worried stick a fork in it and maybe give it a few minutes blast in the micro - that works well.

I microwave mine for about 10 mins first, then I put them in the oven, they taste the same as oven cooked ones but reduces the cooking time
