1? cups white flour (250 gm)

1/2 tsp salt (3ml)

4 tsp baking powder (10ml)

3 eggs, separated

1? cups milk (435ml)

1/2 cup melted margarine (125 gm)


Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

Beat egg whites with a little salt until stiff.

Beat egg yolks and milk together with margarine until mixed and gradually add the dry ingredients, continuing to mix.

Gently fold in the beaten egg whites.

Spoon mixture into waffle maker (quantity according to manufacturer's directions) and bake for about 5 minutes each, until steaming stops.

Serve with your favorite topping: maple syrup, pancake syrup, butter, etc

reg waff.cake flour is better and filling also,but i just throw every thing in and go with this,look up cake flour waffles,tons of recipes! would be even better as chocolate waffles. hope it turns out well!

Pound Cake Waffles

Ingredients
2/3 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs, separated
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 tablespoons Baking Powder

Instructions
Preheat waffle iron. Cream shortening and sugar until light, add well-beaten egg yokls, milk, and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt, and Clabber Girl Baking Powder. Add to liquid batter and gently fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

Cook according to your waffle iron instructions.
Makes 6 four-section waffles.
