yeah my mom does she wraps it in seran wrap first though ....

ummm..yes, it taste good really good frozen,...try it one day!

No you need to let it cool first then wrap it and put it in the fridge.

You probably can but I'd let it cool a little first just so it doesn't heat the inside of the fridge up too much. And then don't cover it till it is completely cool so it doesn't end up sitting in steam. And save me a slice please.

I don't think you should do straight from the oven. I'd say let it set. My mom makes cheesecakes pretty often and that's what she does and she makes real good ones too. ;)

I wouldn't---because you are suppossed to remove the cheesecake from the oven just before it is done, and it finishes baking at room temp. Plus, if you cover a warm cheesecake and refrigerate it, condensation will form on the cover and drip onto the top of the cake, making it soggy.

It isn't good for the food that is in the fridge.Fill another pie pan with ice and set it on top

I wouldn't as it warms the fridge too much!! I always let them sit on the cabinet on wire rack til they have cooled down. As someone said, you don't want to steam them. Wrapping before they are cooled will cause too much condensation in the wrap and make the cheesecake soggy!!

In the old days before self defrosting fridges, our grandmothers let everything cool to room temp before putting in the fridge. This was to save the work of defrosting every other day. Putting hot stuff in the fridge makes the fridge work harder and cycle more defrosting. This is a waste of electric power!!!

Give it about 5 minutes before you do that- let it "post-cook" then it should be fine

No because you have to let it cool first and then put it in the fridge

Never tried that. I would cool it down to room temperature before wrapping & chilling..
