i love chewy brownies. i find the box mixes work the best for this. i usually add vanilla and instant espresso to the mix though to give it a more homemade taste. i have made these brownies in the past and they turn out pretty good:

Baker's one bowl brownies

4 squares BAKER'S Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Grease foil.
MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Spread into prepared pan.

BAKE 30 to 35 min. or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool in pan on wire rack. Remove brownies from pan, using foil handles. Cut into squares. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.

Costco has a great brownie mix with chocolate chunks.
Overflow the amount of oil called for, and under bake them a bit.
I made these for our monthly birthday potluck at work, and it became THE requested desert each month.
Easy and satisfying for even the most fanatic chocoholic brownie connoisseur!
