How to cook SUPER TENDER & SAUCY ribs?!

Question: I have 2 racks of pork ribs. I want to slow cook them in the oven for a few hours. I have my favorite BBQ sauce that I want to use, but any suggestions on spices or rubs before hand to make a "crust" on the ribs before I slather on the sauce? & how to go about doing it? Temperatures? Times? Covered or uncovered?

Here's what I do and they always come out great.

Make a rub of your favorite spices . I use garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, seasoned salt or meat tenderizer, black papper, sage and a bit of cinnamon. I like mine to be a bit salty.
Rub on ribs until a good coating is on it.

Put in oven at 300 degrees for a about 2 hours turning occasionally. They will start to get fall aprt done, if you want to add sauce, wait until the ribs are cooked and tender then brush on your favorite choice of bbq sauce. I do not cover mine while cooking them, although I do cook them on a foil covered cookie sheet, mostly for easier clean up.

So your doing some grill'n and chill'n- want to enjoy your company, cold beer or nature. My I offer this one. Large stock pot-fill with water about 12 crushed garlic cloves and 2 large onions qrt. throw in some peppercorns and (beer if you want)
boil ribs for about 45-1 hour season with you favorite rub and grill for about 30 minutes each side. last 5 minutes baste with sauce. Happy grilling

season ribs with a good marinade(I use Lawrys Louisiana red pepper)Let rest in fridge 2-3 hours.Preheat oven to 300.cover with fresh minced garlic.Place in lipped cookie sheet.Add 1 cup water to bottom of pan.Add 6tsps of Liquid Smoke to water.Cover/bake 3 hrs.Uncover,Slather with your sauce, call me,bake 1/2 hour more uncovered.Let rest covered 5 minutes.

no rub. Just add salt pepper and garlic powder if you have it. Cover the pan with tim foil and cook at 350 for about 3 hours then drain the fat from the pan and add the sauce. Put back in oven for another 15 minutes uncovered. Ribs will be sooo tender. Good luck.
