I have a question about a frozen ham...?!

Question: We have a ham that has been in our freezer and when we bought it we bought a few because they were cheap.. It has been in there a little under a year but frozen the whole time..
I defrosted it and it smells good but was wondering if anyone knows if it is still good to use ?
Have you ever done this before..??
Deb :)

HI Debbie, check out this link

It is perfectly fine to use. Go for it.

Oh yes, it is fine...enjoy

It will still be good... just make sure you heat it up to the minimum temperature to kill anything harmful. Or before letting it cool for sandwiches.

It should be good...it was probably already cooked (or smoked) before you froze it anyway.

It's just fine. not only has it been frozen (a food preservation method), ti's also been smoked (another food preservation method.) You shoudl enjoy that ham!

itll be fine to cook.
It may end up being a bit dry as a result of the freezing. But use it like you would the other frozen hams you had.
Its salted so the preservative is in the ham..

They are OK to eat, but the longer they are in the freezer they loose quality. If it is a cooked spiral ham they get watery and tasteless.

It should be just fine.
