sugar and water

Noo, It's made from icing sugar, water, vanilla essence and sometimes butter (which is sort of an animal product, dairy).

Just sugar and water.

powdered sugar, milk or water, and vanilla or almond flavoring. The only thing I can think of that might be an animal product would be gelatine but I have never heard it used in any recipe for donuts or glaze.
Real butter is just made from milk. Margarine is made from oil but not animal oil.

In short answer No. Glaze is a sugar based ingredient.

Ask the donut shop.
