How long should I bake my cupcakes?!

Question: I'm trying to bake cupcakes using a box mix. The instructions say to bake 24 cupcakes at 350 degrees for 20 to 24 minutes. However, my baking pan will only hold 12 cupcakes. Should I simply bake the 12 cupcakes at 10 to 12 minutes instead? (That seems too easy!)

No, 20 to 24 minutes is correct regardless of the number of cup cakes you are baking. The mix has to be able to cook all the way, and 10 to 12 minutes just isn't enough time.
Tip: On your last pan of cup cakes if you do NOT have enough batter to fill all the pan wells, then fill any empty wells with water. That will help ensure even baking if you do not have batter in all of them. Good luck.

no u have to bake them as if they we're 24 i mean it takes what ever number of cup cakes 24 minutes to be ready .. so bake them for 24 minutes :)

bon appetite

the same amount of time, just in two pans

NO. Cook for the amount of time instructed on the box. If your oven cooks fast, set the timer for 20 mins. Then check them with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean they're done.

25 minutes at 400 degrees.
Enjoy.

They will still take 20-24 minutes per tray.
