How do I make a baked potato in the Microwave?!
Potatoes in the oven take 1 hour at 325 F.
Here is an alternative.
Faster Bakers:
Preheat a Toaster oven or regular oven to 325 F.
To speed this up, Pierce the skin of each potato with a fork at least three places. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Remove. Use a papertowel to spread cooking oil (Not Olive or Peanut) on the skin of each potato. Wrap each in foil and place in the conventional oven or on a BBQ for 20 minutes-Restaurant style when they are complete-YUMO!!!
Answers: Microwaved bakers are OK but not great.

wash the potato in cold water then use a fork to pierce it, place on a plate for about 5 minutes.
punch holes all over the potatoe w/ a fork, wet it, wet a paper towel and wrap the potatoe in the wet paper towel. Microwave until soft.
Pierce potato with a fork and cook on high about 4 minutes for a medium size
Wash it, poke a few fork holes in it for ventelation and microwave for about 5 minutes. I would not wrap it up as that will only steam it and it will have a much better flavor the other way.
wash the potato with a good clean food brush, no soap, then prick the potato with a fork all over. Put it in the microwave for twelve minutes, or your microwave may even have a button for potato. you can do that with all hard vegetables like spaghetti squash ( 20 min), butternut squash ( 20 min) or a sweet potato too.
Prick it with a fork and nuke on full power for 3-4 minutes.

They have these cute little pouches you can buy (google them) and you can put as many as 5 potatoes in at once, then you just wrap em in a paper towel and pop em in the microwave for about 9 minutes and Voila you have the perfect baked potatoes!
swash it really good, poke a few holes in the potato with a fork and put it into the microwave for about 4-5 min
Wash and dry potatos, prick both ends with a fork to allow steam out of the potatos..
Rub potatos with a good olive or vegetable oil then give a good rubbing of kosher salt. (table salt is ok to use)
Place the potatos into a plastic shopping bag and tie the end closed tight.
microwave on high for 5 to 7 minutes or until the potatos are soft when you squeeze them.
The bag keeps the potatos very moist when microwaving and youll be placiing some of the fuffiest baked potatos on your plates you ever had!!
wash potato under cool running water dry with paper towel, poke a few holes in potato then wrap in plastic wrap( my husband discovered this) place in microwave 4-5 mins..depending on size. The plastic wrap cooks it faster an potato doesn't shrink,if over cooked.
