Looking for a hashbrown recipe can't find what i need online?!

Question: One day me and my family when to eat breakfast at this restaurant in CT, and we ordered this hashbrown. We loved it, it was fried with a mixture of shredded potatos and shredded onions and a few basic spices. I've been looking all over for a recipe close enough to what my family tried but have been unsuccessful, can anybody help?

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups cold cooked potatoes, shredded
2 shredded onions
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

3 tablespoons butter
PREPARATION:
Combine the potatoes, onion, salt, pepper. Melt butter in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Do not let burn. When butter is hot, add potato mixture. Press down firmly. Reduce heat and fry slowly until bottom is golden brown.

What restaurant?

Hashbrowns are easy, but they are made many different ways. As you said you can use shredded cheese and onions along with some spices that can really make them taste good. A few examples might be parmisan, or a little hot and spicy. But no I don't know the answer to your question.

I would try boiling potatoes for about 5 minutes. Then slicing them and frying them with sliced onions and butter. Add 1/2 tsp garlic salt, 1/2 tsp seasoned salt, and pepper to taste. Fry until crispy.

We love hashbrowns. Here is another recipe you might like:
