Breakfast on a schoolday?!
So your ideas?
I'd like to know particularly what kinda cereal bars I could make myself, you know...like not plastic wrapped squares bars full of preservatives etc type cereal bars...
and smoothie recipes!
and anything else you feel I can make the night before and it will still be ok the next morning + I can carry around with me without it being messy.
As a general consensus too:
What do you find the cheaper option is? What tastes better? What do you think is generally healthier?
Food you buy in shops (ie squares bars)..or food you make from scratch?
Cheers :)
Answers: I get up at half 6 and by the time I've had a shower, got my bag packed etc etc etc it's about half 7 and I'm out of the door walking to school.

there are many frozen microwaveable breakfast sandwiches out there. you can buy bagels and cream cheese . it don't take that long to make one before you go out the door. go to www.pillsbury.com and www.kraft foods and see what you can find. you could pack your bag and put out your clothes before you go to bed ,that will save you some time.

Me personally I think that you should have an egg for breakfast...hard boiled. It's a lot of protein and good for you. When your getting ready for school, then cook up the egg and wait 15 minutes that'll give you plenty of time for something else...then when your out the door you can eat your egg.
Do you have a microwave? Porridge is the best way to start your day. It takes some time on the hob but if you did it in the microwave it would only take a couple of minutes. No longer than making a smoothie for example. You can also add dried fruit to it. You could transfer it to one of those wide mouth food flasks that will keep it hot for you.
Jamie Oliver has a few muesli type recipes and one that he soaks overnight so you can get it ready the night before and just eat it straight away in the morning without any more work.
Fruit and smoothies are ok as an addition but will go right through you. You need something more substantial to set you up for the day and give you a good start.
