French Toast Cheesecake?!

Question: I know it sounds weird, but I had it at a restaurant once and I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of it, tried it or maybe has a recipe for it? I loved it but have only seen it once at that restaurant (in a place I don't live anymore). Thanks.

I have a recipe that I call french toast cheesecake, not sure if it is the same thing, but I'll let you decide>>>>

FILLING:::
2 packages (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
2 eggs
1/4 cup sour cream

CRUST:::
1 1/2 cups crushed French Toast Crunch Cereal (if you can't find that you can try Waffle Crisp Cereal)
6 tablespoons melted butter

TOPPING:
Maple Syrup
Whipped cream (opt.)
Powdered sugar (opt.)
--------------------
For Crust:
Melt butter or margarine. Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Firmly press crumb mixture evenly over bottom and sides of a 9-inch pieplate.

bake at 350 degrees F. for 7 to 9 minutes.

For Filling:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended and smooth. Beat in cinnamon and vanilla. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, until well mixed. Stir in sour cream. Pour into crust.
2. Bake 40 minutes or until edges are set. (Center will be slightly soft.) Cool 1 hour on wire rack.

3. Drizzle top of cheesecake with a few tablespoons of maple syrup.

Refrigerate. & serve with whipped cream with a dash of powdered sugar if desired!

Its super yummy!

that sounds really good.
