Please help me, im trying to make a birthday cake for my dad?!


Question: in the shape of a football (soccer to some of you( shirt, with green and white stripes, im not very good at cooking but I really want to try as i think it the thought that counts. If anyone has any ideas, photos, of websites, it would really help, thanks a lot.

if you have rectangular cake pans, it would be the easiest to bake two (9x11) pans.... then use one for the shirt base (the part your torso would go in) and cut the other up for sleeves.
then just put frosting between the pieces to stick them together... once you frost over it, you won't even be able to tell. you could even make one of the pans one kind of cake and the other pan another kind of cake to add a little variety.
if you don't have very much experience baking, i would suggest using boxed mixes (they are so much easier and still taste yummy) then you can also buy white frosting and use food dye to make it green or whatever colour you need.
