Dunkin' Donuts Muffins?!

Question: How do they make their muffin tops crispy?

Answers: How do they make their muffin tops crispy?

Here are some ideas. I don't know how exactly Dunkin' donuts do it, but the simple idea is caramelised sugar or sugar that has gone under high heat. So, they may have:

a. sprinkled the top of the unbaked muffin with coarse sugar (such as demarara sugar) and baked it,
b. brush the top of unbaked with sugar water,
c. brushed diluted honey on the top

I have no idea, but they sure taste great.
My fav is coffee cake.

they bake them

I don't know but they are really bad for you. Super High in Fat even the "Reduced Fat". Pancakes are a much healthier breakfest choice.

They probably brush the tops with either butter, or a little bit of egg white and water. Or perhaps a bit on cream on top, then sprinkle on some sugar. They really are not good for you at ALL.

its because of the really coarse sugar on top
banana nut is my fave yumm
but they are so bad for you =(
