Lollipop Molds???????!
Answers: Is there a substitute to use as lollipop molds. also, how long do u have to let them sit. how do u make the swirly ones?
A substitute for lollipop molds? Well, you could drop the candy onto a baking sheet covered with parchment, place the stick on, then pour on a little more of the liquid. They won't be perfect, but it'll work. Let these dry until they are completely hard and cool.
To make the swirly lollipops, its a whole different process. You would have to take the sugar, pour it out, and separate it into three or four sections. Put food coloring in each section (different colors or flavorings if you want), and separately, pull and 'knead' the hot sugar until it is opaque. Repeat with the other blobs of sugar. Then form into long, thin logs, and twist them like a rope. Then cut into sections and twist. Stick the stick in the end. This process is really difficult to do at home- the sugar cools down too quickly. It's best to just make simple lollipops!
