Filet Mignon recipe?!

Question: What's your favorite recipe for filet? Preferably without brandy since I don't feel like going to the store, but it's okay.
Just looking for a great recipe to cook my filets.
Thanks!

I love mine plain (ok - a little salt and pepper after they're grilled or broiled) or with a touch of garlic butter.

And super rare is best!

Pan seared with garlic powder & lots of fresh ground black pepper. Just follow th video except at the end deglaze your pan with red wine and use the reduce wine over the meat. YUM!!! This is the exact way I do it too, my family is very happy with it!

omg, just put it under the broiler for a minute, flip for a minute and your done. now, for the sides to serve with the meat, asparagus with roasted garlic.a salad with gorganzola dressing. but never never never over cook red meat. yuck.

seasoned, grilled (med-rare for me), with cheese crust topping (blue, brie, etc) with jus

INGREDIENTS
2 (4 ounce) filet mignon steaks
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper to taste
salt to taste
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup dry red wine

DIRECTIONS
Sprinkle freshly ground pepper over both sides of each steak, and sprinkle with salt to taste.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Place steaks in hot pan, and cook for 1 minute on each side, or until browned. Reduce heat to medium-low, and add balsamic vinegar and red wine. Cover, and cook for 4 minutes on each side, basting with sauce when you turn the meat over.
Remove steaks to two warmed plates, spoon one tablespoon of glaze over each, and serve immediately.

Pan seared in really hot butter. Black and blue rare for the best flavor. Season only with black pepper. Yum.
