Take out works for me. But if you must make it your self: ramen noodles, mac and cheese, scrambled eggs, breakfast foods- cereal/ breakfast burritos/ waffles/ pancakes/ bacon-precooked, blt sandwiches, hamburger helper, tuna helper, hamburgers, sub sandwiches, spaghetti, soup, sandwiches.

mac & cheese; ramen noodles

Skillet Lasagna (aka Hamburger Helper)

? cu p chopped onion

1? cups water
? tsp. Italian seasoning blend
2 cups marinara or other tomato-based pasta sauce
8 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms
1/3 cup or more shredded mozzarella cheese

Cook lean ground beef, chopped onion and chopped carrots in a Dutch oven on medium-high about 6 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Drain. Taco Soup

1-1? lbs. lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 can beef broth (or 2 cups water + 2 beef boullion cubes)
1 can whole kernel corn, undrained (I like the mix of white and yellow corn)
2 cans diced tomatoes, any variety, undrained (I like petite diced, w/ onions and bellpeppers in them; if you want heat, use at least one can of Rotel)
1 can red or black beans, drained and rinsed
1 packet Taco seasoning

Garnishes (any or all)
sour cream
diced green onions
sliced black olives
sliced jalapenos
guacamole
shredded cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef over medium heat in large stock pot. When nearly cooked, add onions and sauté w/ ground beef. When onions are wilted but still opaque, stop cooking and drain off any fat. Return to heat and add remaining indredients. Cover and let simmer at least 30 minutes, or up to about 3 hours. (Can be held longer in a slow cooker set on Low.)

Serve in bowls w/ crushed corn chips in the bottom. Top each bowl w/ garnish of choice.

Balsamic Lemon Chicken

2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. lemon zest
1 Tbsp. dry basil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 whole boneless chicken breasts, halved

Mix all ingredients and pour over chicken. Broil in 9x13” pyrex dish for 15 minutes each side. Lest rest 10 minutes, slice in strips.

add back to the pot
dice up a small onion, add to pot
salt/pepper
dice up 1/2 green pepper
add some garlic powder, oregano, basil
stir in pot
add one can pasta sauce
simmer with lid on, stirring occasionally

boil pasta in salted water (rigattoni shells, macaronni shells)
drain when done
add meat/pastasauce to drained pasta shells, mix, add a bit of grated parmesan cheese or grated mozzerella cheese ontop
make garlic bread with a couple of left over buns

Find a cute girl and ask her if she will show you how to cook. It works like a charm!

But here are other very easy ideas:

Buy some pre-cooked shrimp. Sautee them in some olive oil & garlic. Toss over pasta-salt/pepper to taste. Serve with a salad & garlic bread.

Chicken Caeser Salad: Get some pre-cooked grilled chicken (they sell them in frozen bags of chicken breasts) Slice over pre-made salad.

Invest in a medium-sized crockpot and you can make the simplest roast in the world in addition to so many EASY recipes. This requires making the meal earlier in teh day for later on:
Add a few carrot & celery stalks, sliced onion, and peeled/chopped potatoes. Buy a 1 pound roast-salt/pepper/garlic salt-add into the crock pot. 1 cup of beef broth. Decide on your timing and it will be perfect for at least 2-3 days!

Good luck!

Have you considered buying a small crock pot, also called a slow cooker? You can throw in your ingredients in the morning and then your dinner is ready when you get back in the evening.
Ideas for things to cook:
pork chop, a half can green beans, a half can of tomatoes, italian seasoning
chicken breast with onion, when you get back add 1/4 can of cream of mushroom soup, seperately boil some pasta, serve with the chicken and top with parmasan cheese.
beef steak, a potato, some carrots and onion
beef steak with italian seasonings, 1/2 can of tomatoes and some onion.

or find an older female professor that will cook for you in exchange for you "servicing" her on a daily basis!

I agree with MarLo on getting a crockpot/slowcooker, I use mine weekly.
For some great sandwiches, buy a small roast and place it in the crockpot with 1/2 cup of water, allow it to cook all day (or overnight). Drain the juice-great for adding to beef flavored ramen noodles for extra flavor. Shred meat and mix in 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 can of cheddar cheese soup or 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Add a drained can of mushroom pieces and stems if you like. Serve on buns or bread.

Prepared boxed macaroni and cheese according to directions, stir in one can of water-packed tuna, do not drain. Add 1 tbsp. butter and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup.

Boil 2 cups of elbow macaroni until cooked through. Stir in 1lb cooked ground beef, 1 can diced tomatoes and juice, 1 can tomato paste. Allow to sit 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
