How do u make pastry??!


Question: However much you want to make always make sure the quantity of fat =half the quantity of flour. eg: 8ounces of plain flour 4 ounces of fat, so always half fat to flour! always use 2oz of lard and 2oz of marg 1 teaspoon of salt and however many oz you use of flour add the same amount of teaspoons of water plus 1 ,perfect pastry every time, one tip is to make sure your hands are cold when rubbing the flour and fat together!

I never made it in my life, but I guess its egg, water, milk, er not sure. You can buy first class pastry in the chiller cabinet in the supermarket, it's brill, ready made, just roll it out and follow the instructions. I think it's called "Jus-Roll"

3 cups flour
1\4 tes salt
4 tes suger
3 tes powder milk
1 1\2 tes yeast
1 cup warm water
1 egg
1\2 veg oil

I do my own shortcrust pastry but i cant put the quantities in here because i always do it roughly and it works!
You can always buy in the shops, it's ready and faster but not so tasty than doing it yourself.
