What can I do with about 8 ounces of stale french bread?!

Question: I don't want to waste :(

Answers: I don't want to waste :(

you can make it into bread crumbs and use for a topping to another dish, or as a coating to something you want to fry. You could also cut it into small cubes, toss it with olive oil and you favorite herbs then toast them in the oven to make croutons. Or you could slice it, coat lightly with olive oil, toast in the oven to make croustini, then top with cream cheese and pesto, yummy appetizer. Or make bruchetta (sp?) Or make into crumbs and add to a nice meatloaf.

Pizza bread, garlic toast with cheese, make a chicken soup and pour over a toasted piece of the bread, make stuffing....bread pudding........

Small amount of French Toast.
Small bread pudding.
Lunch-sized strata.
Homemade croutons.
Bread crumbs to save for next time you need breading.

french toast, croutons, seasoned bread crumbs

crutons for salads..just toast them up a bit more. or you could add them to a soup. season them up and quickly toast them then smash them up and you'll have some seasoning/bread crumbs for steaks or whatever

French toast!!!!!!!!!!

make your own croutons, use as garlic toast, make french toast and yes it will soak up more of your egg mixutre when its stale. Make panzanilla salad with it see the Food Network for the recipe. There are tons of ideas Food Netowkr has many but so does Recipezaar.com good luck and have fun

Throw it in the trash, just kidding, make Garlic bread,

First Nuke it for about 10 seconds wrapped in a damp paper towel. This will soften it enough to cut it and not have it fall apart.

Once cut, coat the top of it with crushed garlic and what ever seasonings you like. Then, cover that all over with a decent thinkness of butter. Then bake away... when it is brown, its yummy time.... Make some pasta while your at it.... Maybe some sauce...
