Of course this depends on how old he is where grapes are okay. If so, my kids used to take pretzel sticks and push them in grapes and then it would look like a lollipop. They thought it was great and they came up with it!

snack-apple slices with peanut butter to dip them in

Mini Quiche, Can put any type of veg in, eg, carrot, onion, tomatoe, brocolli,
Buy shortcrust pastry, roll out and put in mini tins, put into fridge to chill.
To make mix, 4 eggs, beat and add 1/2pint cream, add veg, bacon, salmon(whatever u want). add salt pepper, parsley.
Pour onto pastry, sprinkle with cheese and put in oven for half hour. You can make and freeze, and use when u need to!
Enjoy

Go to allrecipes.com. It's a great site. Simply put "healthy kids snacks" in the search box and voila!

Slicked hot dogs with tooth picks in them...and condiments for him to dip. or get him to help you roll it up in a biscuit and he will eat them cause he made them. Or corndogs...

my child liked to slice bananas then with a tooth pick place the banana in a honey and milk mixture(a good squeeze of honey in a bowl of milk.) THEN that would get dipped into wheat germ.
We also eat frozen bananas, frozen grapes(not for very young)
fresh fruit of all types.
boiled eggs. If you do not buy the junk, he cannot refuse to eat the healthy stuff.

I work at a daycare and we make things like apple slice smiles. Slice apples and then put peanut butter between them kinda like a smile then use marshmellows as the teeth. Also i read some where that you can blend carrots and other vegetables together and add it into foods like mac and cheese so your son will still eat vegetables and never know it.

keep it simple.. grill cheese, spaghetti, cut up fruit with fun dip, mac and cheese.
Try making food fun.. make faces out of cut up fruit, make fun cut our grill cheese or turkey sandwiches, cut out pancakes. just be creative!

its called ants on a log--celery stalk with peanut butter and raisins on top
a smile---two apple slices with a little peanut butter and little marsh mellows put together looks like a smile
fruit--bananas, apples, kiwi, oranges, and grapes with your help , have your son make his own fruit salad..
pick a color of the day...if he likes mashed potatoes and he doesnt like carrots, peas, green beans, corn well what i did is mash the vegetables one for each color day and put it with the potatoes tell him that its the color of the day potato.. like if you picked green then you could have peas or green beans with the potatoes.

Peanut butter on crackers, wheat bread or bananas is a healthy snack. If you use bread, cut it into shapes with a cookie cutter. If you waste a little bread it is worth it to get the food into him. Animal shaped snack crackers are good too.

Fruit slices of any kind are great and the little individual fruit cups make it seem like a snack his size. Applesauce is a near-universal favorite. Pudding in little cups is good too - a serving of dairy and eggs. If you make it yourself, get some cute little dishes to put it in.

Mild cheddar or american cheese in little cubes make a great snack.

My son loved yogurt. I started him off with yoplait vanilla custard style then custard style fruit flavors then the yogurt with bits of fruit in it. He ate it as if it was ice cream.

Some kids will eat raw carrots and celery if you make it bite size for them. Try letting him dip it in peanut butter or a little ranch dip.

For meals, most every kid likes chicken nuggets or fish sticks. Search foodtv.com. I know they have a baked chicken finger recipe that is pretty kid friendly and I'll bet you could find a similar fish recipe there too. My son loved - and still loves - pizza and it is great for a meal or snack. Grilled/toasted cheese sandwiches are good too.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

I don't konw if you want to cook him snacks or just give him fruits and sandwiches, but Betty Crocker.com has alot of good recipes for whatever the reason or season.

If he is around 18mo to 3, I think snaking is a good idea. they like "Pretty" food. Use the small paper plates, cheese slices, tomato wedges, cherry tomatoes cut in half, any veggie that catches their eye, all fruit slices, any finger food, Put a little at a time .Don't fill up the plate.
