I am making Hoagies for dinner tonight but I don't have a dip recipe. Do you have a Hogie Dip recipe?!

Question: This may not be quite what you want but you might want to try it for something different. It sounds really good.

Hoagie Dip

1/2 pound cooked ham, thinly sliced
1/2 pound Genoa salami, thinly sliced
1 pound processed American cheese, sliced
2 cups mayonnaise
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 onion, chopped
1/2 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
2 tomatoes, diced
12 hoagie rolls, torn into pieces for dipping
Tear the ham, salami and American cheese into small pieces. Place in a large bowl. In a medium bowl, blend the mayonnaise and oregano. Mix the mayonnaise mixture into the ham mixture 1/2 cup at a time, until meats and cheese are well coated. Mix in the onion. Before serving, mix in the lettuce and tomatoes. Serve with the hoagie roll pieces for dipping.

Hoagie dip?

You should be able to get a packet from the grocery store for about 99 cents or less. I would say that if you got an Onion soup packet that would do it. That's the closest thing to an au juis that I know of. They might even offer a dip packet just for that very thing. There's one section in the store where they have TONS of different packets for gravy, sloppy joe's and sandwich dips, among a ton of other things ... shrimp dip, onion dip, all sorts of things like Onion ring batter and on and on. It's like a half aisle long. There are tons of them. Just find a BIG supermarket for the best selection.

:-)
Peace y'all.

Hot sauce and mayo add a little garlic powder and a little vinager.

Chipotle mayo. Generally I mix about 1/2 c. mayo, about 1/4 finely diced chipotle pepper with about 1/2 tsp. of the sauce, a few dashes of hot sauce, about 1/2 tsp. lemon zest and a few grinds of fresh pepper. Let it sit for about 20 minutes before you make them.
