What is the best way to cook after birth?!
Answers: Many cultures eat the placenta and the nutrients in the placenta are quite abundant. Also the The after birth is iron rich.
Honey it is a lot like liver. I'd soak it in milk, pat it dry then dredge it in flour and then fry it at a medium high heat. While heating fried onions and gravy on other burners and reserve that fourth burner for mashed potatoes. Your hubby probably won't join you but when I crave liver I just share it with my cat or dog. I have heard placenta replaces some essential nutrients and even cows who are vegetarians eat their placenta. I think partly to hide the signs and smells of birth from predators but also for their own health..
Ive had polenta lots of times. It is an Italian dish. Add polenta to water or stock and cook slowly for 45 min to 1 hours. It should be the consistency of cream of wheat. You can either put it into loaf pans and let it cool or serve like hot cereal. Season to taste.
If you use the loaf pan method, slice it when cool and then pan-fry it in oil until golden brown of both sides. Serve it topped with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. You don't have to use polenta, corn meal works well, too.
gross!
Are you talking about eating babies? lol
I don't see why it's necessary. You can get eat iron supplements instead. Or iron rich food like: Clams, Pork Liver, Oysters, Chicken Liver, Mussels, Beef Liver
