Ugh i cant cook a bolied egg! :(?!
Answers: my friend was teasing me about not being able to cook and said i probably cant cook a boiled egg as a jk. so i went home after skool and tryed and well i cant. i used like the whole paket and my mum hasnt noticed yet lol. im 16 but i feel stupid that i cant even cook a boiled egg so can someone help?
Put eggs in pan and add enough water so that eggs are covered plus a little. Put on high heat. Once the water comes to a boil, set a timer for 5 minutes if you want soft boiled or 10 minutes if you want hard boiled. Once the timer goes off, remove pan from heat and put it right in the sink. Run cold water in the pan for a few minutes. Hit the egg on a hard surface to crack, then peel the shell away and enjoy!
awwwww..... put the eggs in room temperature tap water in a pot... put the pot on the stove and put the stove on HIGH and leave it until the water is bubbling violently.. then turn it down so the water is JUST bubbling.. and leave it for 5 minutes (soft boiled) or 7 minutes (hard boiled)
Easy!

have you tryed boiling it. But its ok i cant make a ham sandwitch.
get like three eggs or as many as you want. get water in a pan and put the eggs in. put the pan with eggs on the stove and heat it. Bring the water to a boil. if you see the egg cracking it might be about done. It wont take longer than ten mins. It's easy, don't stress about it. Cooking takes practice. I started cooking when I was 13. I really sucked at anything that involved cooking. But I kept cooking and now that im 17 the food actually tastes good. :D
You put some water in a small to medium pot add one egg in shell (do not crack egg). Set on stove and turn on burner and when water starts to boil. Turn your timer to ten minutes and just wait. After ten minutes take off the burner and slowly with out burning yourself drain hot water. Fill with cold water and add some ice cubes to cool it down faster. After a few minutes when the egg is cool to the touch crack and peel and eat. Yumm
the rule of thumb for boiling eggs is 8 minutes.
Get a pan, add some cold water. Place an egg in. Put on stove on medium heat. Hard boil for 15 to 20 minutes.
That's okay . . . I hate "bolied" eggs . . .
Don't feel so bad! Everybody learns to cook by following instructions, whether they are written in a recipe, taught to them by somebody else (a family member, or ... these days ... Food Network).
When people just walk into a kitchen and instinctively figure out how to cook something, it's because they started with the basics, with specific instructions, then had a lot of experience before they began experimenting and just 'knowing" how to cook.
Actually boiling egg is not that easy You have to have the water cold when you put in the egg. And make sure you boil it for 10 minutes and then lower the heat and cover the pot for 10 more minutes.
Start learning how to cook. You will need to feed yourself and maybe a family soon. The following will get you started.

4. In a rush? Smithfield, Hormel, Armour have packages of PRE-COOKED beef tips, roast, pot roast, pork roast, chicken, ham, meatload. Use this for your meat dish with a side dish or two of vegetables, rice, or potatoes. You will find these packages near the meat section, they are not frozen.
5. Tyson's fully cooked whole chickens are delicious. I serve them often with S&W canned sweet potatoes, Stove-Top dressing, microwave chicken/turkey gravy in jars, a canned vegetable, canned cranberry sauce, and frozen Pillsbury Microwave Biscuits which are better than I can make. A frozen pie defrosted and fully cooked. Perfect for one or two people at Thanksgiving or Christmas.
6. Another thing you can do is cook in a slow cooker or a crock-pot. You put the meat meal into the crock-pot in the morning and it cooks all day long. The meal is ready at dinner time. Crock-pots can be bought at your grocery store, WalMart, Target, etc. BE SURE to read the booklet that comes with the crock-pot.

7. If you are in a hurry, go to your grocery store and pick up a roasted chicken that you can buy in the deli section. They also have side dishes such as veggies, salads, desserts, and etc.
8. Frozen dinners are always a good choice. Our favorites are Stouffer's, Marie Calendar's, Michael Angelo's, Boston Market's. Just add a side dish, salad, or fruit salad. Desserts can be bought at their bakery section.

Lots of help in that list - but I find there are many people who have different tastes to degree of cooked
see the 8 min egg - too runny for me - I put enough water to just cover the egg - put it on the stove and time 20 min yu can turn the stove down if it starts to boil to rapidly say down to medium - there are some people who like a runny center say 11 min but for a well done yolk 20 min ;-)
Give it a try there is no better time to learn when there is only you to please. Experiment a bit
