Kid friendly chicken ideas?!


Question: I have three bone in chicken breasts that I took out for dinner tonight and I don't know what to do with them. I was thinking of chunking them up, breading them, and baking them but am open for other options. The kids are starving when I get home so the quicker the better.

They will love chicken fingers, Here is the recipe.

Mix 2/3 cup of flour, 1/2 tsp of paprika, 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese in a sandwich bag and shake up.

Then slice the chicken into strips, dip in a slightly beaten egg, place them in the bag andd shake until fully covered.

Take each chicken strip and place on a baking tray, put it in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

& Voila!Serve with fries and a variety of dips.

If you have any spaghetti sauce you can put the breasts skin side down in the sauce and simmer about 30 minutes. Serve with pasta .

Cook them the usual way and the last 5 minutes pour some salsa over it and simmer it a bit. Microwave some potatos and make a quick mashed potato to serve with it.

When my boys were small they liked chicken 'n rice.

Remove the bone from the chicken, dice and saute quickly in a pan sprayed with Pam.

Cook one package of Rice a roni and add chicken.

It's quick, inexpensive and guaranteed to please your kids!

Bone them, cut into long thin strips, soak in buttermilk for the day, when you get home, toss in a little breading and fry. They will fry quickly when sliced into thin strips and voila, you have chicken fries. You can serve with whatever vegis your kids will eat and a salad. Quick and yummy.

CHICKEN, BROCCOLI, ZITI

1 box ziti
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 whole boneless chicken breast
1 tbsp. garlic salt
1 good size heap broccoli

Cut broccoli into florets with some stem in them. Steam until slightly crunchy; set aside. Cut chicken into bite size pieces, saute in a little of the butter; set aside. Boil ziti, drain and add butter, Parmesan cheese; toss until butter melts. Add chicken and broccoli then add garlic salt. Serve with garlic bread.
