How do you make spicy kielbasa less spicy?!

Question: ...Or what can you add to it to tone it down?

Just serve it with rice or beans or both, or put with boiled potatoes and sauerkraut. The potatoes will bland it down.

more blood lol

Make or Cook?? If you're making it use less spices...If you're cooking it boiling it first will remove some of the spicy flavor.

Neat question!
My Polish/Czech In-laws, usually do a rue of sorts (yummy gravy or sided with saurkraut. which I have a hard time digesting.)with their kielbasa, if not eaten alone, in a soup or grilled. Making a gravy, a starchy add works for me. Using the kielbasa juices for the rue, or in a soup dish. Like a cabbage, carrots, usual soup veggies, sliced kielbasa coins, chicken broth, onions, flour/corn starch... lots of water. I usually make a large batch, and use about a gallon or so of water. Ummm...I guess the real question is...
How do you wanna eat it? lol!

I do this sometimes with spicy Italian sausage that is just too hot for my recipe...(you know the kind - that has so much red pepper that you can't taste the other flavors)

After browning slices of sausage on both sides, I throw in some water and cook for a short time...then, drain out the water and continue with your recipe...this gets rid of a lot of the fat, too!

Split it and boil it before frying or sautee'ing it., Then cook it with sauerkraut, red or regular cabbage.

use a bit of sugar and /or celery when you boil /prior to grilling
