i use cottage cheese instead of ricotta always. it makes it healthier. the expiration date is more for the grocery store, they aren't supposed to sell it past that date...but as long as it doesn't have a sour smell..it is fine to use!

It's fine, use it.

It doesn't have a distinctive smell

A few days past date is Ok I would say take a small taste and if it tastes OK Well its really up to you

Here's a better question...why the flock are you putting cottage cheese in your lasagna?

if it was bad, you would know. I think it's fine.

Usually a week after the due date is still fine to use it. Now if it smells really strong or has any mold on it, do not use it. It usually just smells like salty milk.

if it tastes OK its fine to use, its only just over the date, i would use it.

it's good
