Easy yummy dinner for tonight?!

Question: I just did a answers search for easy dinner and went through 8 pages of questions and still nothing jumped out at me.

I don't really want spagethi. The kids are quite picky. I'm going to the store after work. I don't want to have to use wine. I'm not the best cook so if you could put pretty clear instructions that would totally rock. I'd like the clean up to be minimal and I would like the cook time to be short. Since I didn't get lunch and don't get out till 5 and well I have to go to the store!

Thanks for your help!

You could always just pick up a rotisserie chicken and make some mashed potatoes and green beans. Its quick, easy and there is minimal clean up.

Personal favorite grilled cheese and tomato soup. Your kids would love it if you put little gold fish crackers in it.

This is a really good recipe that will work for your time. It is a fast 15 minutes to prepare! Enjoy!

Get a package of frozen mixed vegetalbes (corn, peas, carrots, whatever your kids will eat) a package of egg noodles, a can of cream of chicken soup and some chicken breasts (if you want really easy just buy the salad chicken strips that you microwave)
Cook the chicken (grill, pan, or possibly microwave)
Pour the soup in a pan and add 1 can of water
When that comes to a boil add the noodles cook through
Defrost the veggies in the microwave.

I love this recipes because it is easy, fairly inexpensive and really good. It is pretty balanced which is nice when you have kids.
I used to work in a group home for kids and they were super picky but they would all eat this.

*You can also bake it in the over if you would rather. Just cut the chicken up and bake.
Put all other ingredients in another small pan and bake that (add another 1/2-1 can of water if baking)
Baking will take longer than using the stove top though

I would buy a packet of chicken...then buy Shake and Bake to go along. it only takes 30 minutes in the oven and it tastes delicious! The prep time is only about less than ten minutes
Add a vegetable and a carb on the side! mashed potato and corn!!!
:)
Let me know how it goes

Fresh chicken soup my favourite i bet you it taste good!

pizza and let the kids help that way the more likely to eat what they have made. You can buy the kits at any grocery store

This is something different and they should have everything at the store. Pad See Ew, a common thai dish.
I lived in Thailand for a while and this was a favorite. This is the best recipe I have found for it, simple, authentic and your kids won't freak out. I can even feed it to my 87 y.o. Pappy ;p
I use regular broccoli instead of the Chinese kind. And you can use a big fry pan for the wok. Cooked and drained angel hair pasta can be used if you're not familiar with rice noodles.

In fact, maybe I'll make it tonight :)
