The question is, are they alive and have they been kept in salted water. If the answer is no to either question then dump them. Food poisoning off bad shellfish is the worse kind, don't risk it.

Smell them.....if they smell off then throw them away...but if kept in a fridge they should still be OK.....what you making??

YES THEY ARE GO AHEAD AND DO SOME COOKING AND ENJOY YOUR MEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chuck them or you will be eating hospital food for a week

I would toss them... too much chance of you getting food poisoning and with shellfish, the fresher, the better the taste and quality.

Cheers

As long as they have be refrigerated in a covered container they will still be safe to eat.

No don't eat them unless you like hospital food. They should be eaten on the day of catching to be at their best.

Hope this helps and have a good weekend ;-)

BIN THEM

don`t bother to cook them unless you like hospital food

Does everyone except ME know what a "whelk" is?
