Popcorn by it's self is not fattening, it's the stuff that's put on the popcorn that makes it fattening. The oil, butter, and other flavorings are fattening. Air popping is a low fat way to make popcorn, but it tastes pretty bland, and salt won't even stick to it.

It can be if its the buttered microwave popcorn. They sell the light and lowfat versions and the kettle popcorn is very good too and not as much fat.

Everything but water is fattening.

not at all! It has minimal nutritional value, and also minimal taste, unless you put the fattening stuff on it though! (sort of like styrofoam peanuts) ....

air popped isn't

yes. but the degree of fattening depends on what kind of popcorn you have. obviously the light popcorn isnt going to be as fattening as buttered or kettle corn

Popcorn is not fattening unless you make it that way. I like to make mine in the microwave by just pouring a small amount of popcorn into a brown paper lunch bag. I buy mine at the the grocery store with the paper plates etc.

No popcorn is not fattening, it is only fattening if you add tons of butter, salt, cheese or caramel on it.

It's only fattening if its loaded with butter

there is plain pop corn for the micro the calories are on each package

just plain unsalted w/ no flavorings is supposed to be a healthy snack
