Can you make MONKEY BREAD out of plain ole canned "whop biscuits" ?!
hey you want another thing you can do with those canned things. get a heavy fry pan such as cast iron, put about 3/4 inch of oil in it heat it up fry the buscuits then while warm toss in a bowl of cinnamon sugar. you got donuts yummy my kids love um. great with coffee too.
Answers: I do this all the time. take about 1/2 stick of butter 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup sugar. melt butter, add cinnamon, add sugar with a couple of tabelspoons water. just heat long enough to melt sugar. let cool slightly because you don't want to cook bicuits before placing in the oven. spray a round cake pan with cooking spray add buscuits then drizzle the syrup you just made. add some raisins if you like. bake at 350 for 15 to 20 min. then serve preferably warm.

Monkey Bread recipe
3 (12 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9- or 10-inch tube pan.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a plastic bag. Cut biscuits into quarters. Shake 6 to 8 biscuit pieces in the sugar cinnamon mix. Arrange pieces in the bottom of the prepared pan. Continue until all biscuits are coated and placed in pan. If using nuts and raisins, arrange them in and among the biscuit pieces as you go along.
In a small saucepan, melt the margarine with the brown sugar over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute. Pour over the biscuits.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 minutes. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a plate. Do not cut! The bread just pulls apart.
You could try, why not? Probably the dinner roll dough would be better, but use what you have.
yes, roll the biscuits in melted butter, sugar and cinnamon.
Pile in a pan and bake at 350F for about 20 to 30 Minutes
