How exactly do I "nuke" a food I'm preparing? Help!?!

Question: The recipe calls for "oatmeal, nuked in water or skim milk." Does that mean to put it in the milk/water and drain it?

Confused

Confused

Nuked is slang for put through the microwave. (because of nuclear power) The term started in the 80s...

Mix your oatmeal with milk/water and nuke, you will probably need to stir it a couple of times.
Cook it until you get the consistency you want.
Too long will give you a great glob.

My best guess is 'to microwave'

nuke as in microwave it, duh

Cook the Oatmeal in the microwave with either milk or water.
