I need to have an idea of what to cook for my fella when he comes home on the 17th March?!
Answers: As you probably know by now I am disabled and am wheelchair bound and that makes it difficult for me to carry pans full of hot water or anything like that. I want to cook my fella a nice meal for his return as I have really missed him and cant wait for him to be back in my life. Has anyone got any ideas what would be as easy as possible for me to cook for my fellas return.
I know when I came home, the first thing I wanted was Pot Roast and taters. You can do it all in a crock pot. Just add all the flavorings, water, meat, potatoes and let it cook slow. That way, you really don't have to juggle hot pans. Since I don't know where he's coming from, any home cooked meal would be great. He's lucky to have someone special like you.
how about a platter of different hot and cold sandwiches with soup or potato salad and chips on the side.
Chicken and dumplings its easy
-3 cans condensed chicken soup
-3 large chicken breasts cut up
-2 cups water
-any vegitibal you would like
boil everything together
then open a can of biscuits tear them to pieces and put them in the pot and let them cook and in about 20-30 min serve!!
my fiance loves this and its easy and simple to make
What about chili, maybe some cornbread as a side?
A lot of green! Spinach, maybe some steak (no green entreas!<----- however u spell it) and limeade. Like lemonade, only limes. Maybe a vanilla cake with green icing that says "Welcome back!" or "Happy St. Patty's Day!" or sometin. If u cant make it, go and buy it at a bakery. But have fun! And happy st. Patty's day!!!
3/17 ?
Corn beef and cabbage.
Go to the Wal*mart and get a seasoned corn beef brisket (about a pound), get a nice head of cabbage.
Chop the cabbage into about 2x2 pieces, put the brisket, the cabbage and the seasoning packet in a crockpot on low for 12 hours or on high for 5-6.
It is a total meal with a couple of Harp's or Guinness.
If you wanna make sure you get lucky add a shot or two of Bushmill's.
Good luck and "Erin go Bra ugh!"
hey itz u. I answered 1 of urs yeserday. dunno I'm not the imagantive when it cm to the kitchen. But I wish u all the best and really hope u av a great nite together.
:?)
do you have a slow cooker? you could simply stick some chicken, veg and stock in the pot in the morning, and then leave it alone all day. by the evening you will have an unbelievably succulent chicken stew.
you can get a slow cooker for £9.99 in argos, if you dont have one. it would be perfect for you, since a slow cooker requires hardly any effort, there's no hauling pans about, and you get a really tasty meal at the end of the day. there are loads of recipies about, too, if you dont fancy chicken stew.
Irish Stew...it's St. Patrick's Day isn't it?
i like to boil mulberries and spread it on bread.
Well, personally, if I had missed someone that much, I would not bother cooking - I would let the supermarkets do it for me!
Morning Stardust.
Steak and chips, with onion rings and a salad does it for me. Perhaps a black pepper sauce. All easily available. Auntie Bessies oven chips are (almost) as good as homemade. My mum was disabled. She would've been able to cook this.
Oh, and Blackcurrant cheesecake for after.
Hope that helps.
If there's a 4 pack in the fridge, that wouldn't hurt either.
How about ready made meals from the supermarket? it saves all that messing about in the kitchen, I know it is not the same as home made but its not bad, I have one now and again when I am too lazy to cook.
all men like steak and ships, not to much work involved. have a nice time
Cover yourself in fresh fruit & have a can of squirty cream ready. That will will fill him up in more ways than one.
Then order a pizza
Don't suppose a 'takeaway' is out of the question hey bud?....
