Smoked ham shoulder. Is that the boil or the bake kind?!


Question: I always buy unsmoked ham shoulder i bake it, first i prick it all over then i put a couple of cloves in it and make a honey water which is 6 tablespoonsful of clear honey add 1 pint of hot water mix together and pour it over, and baste it with that while its cooking in the oven.

Either way. You can bake it for your first round of serving if you like, and use the leftover (with bone) to add to a soup, chowder, beans or peas.

simmer it for 40 minutes(reserve water for soup) then remove fat, score, put cloves in the scores, pour glaze over it and bake at 350 for 2 hours (depending on the size)
