Tips & Warnings
If the icing is too thin, set the pan in a large pan of ice water and beat until it's spreadable. If necessary, add more powdered sugar.
If you like nuts, try stirring 1/2 c. of chopped walnuts or pecans into the icing before spreading.
This icing will keep up to three days at room temperature, up to three weeks in the refrigerator or up to six months in the freezer. To store, cover the surface of the icing with a sheet of plastic wrap. When ready to use, soften and stir or beat icing until it is smooth.

get icing sugar and add water =]

get icing sugar and add water and cocoa if you want it chocolate,
food dye if you want different colours.
you can also do a butter icing. but its a little tricky
look up that recipe on google.
its much nicer but i always mix it too far and it curdles.x

You can get some icing sugar, put it in a bowl and add some water. And if to lumpy, add more water, and to slimy or runny, add more sugar. EASY. ^_^

powdered (confectionars) sugar and whipping cream
mix/blend in mixer

Ingredients:

Creamy Chocolate Icing

1/2 Cp. Butter, softened, room temperature
2 Cps. icing Sugar
1-3 Tbsps. Cocoa
Milk- add milk 1 tsp. at a time until you get consistency you want.

Fluffy icing,
60g butter softened
1 cup icing sugar
food dye or flavoring

Whip the butter with an electric mixer until it is really fluffy and then add in the icing sugar and food dye, this is really yummy and looks nice on cupcakes

Just use confectioners or powdered sugar(same thing) and add milk to the consistency you like, as it sits it will become a little stiffer. You can add food coloring or any flavor extract, yum!

If you want to make it yourself you will need one or two pounds of Icing Sugar, depending on the size of the cake, all you do is mix it with water but don't pour the Water in quickly, Just pour it in slowly and stir all the time until it feels thick enough to spread on a cake.If you want coloured Icing you can buy different colours from the Supermarket on the Home Baking section. You can also buy ready mixed Icing and you just roll it out and put it on your cake. All Instructions will be on the packet

for my icing on my cakes i use egg whites, sugar and vanilla
depending on how big the cake is. i usually use three egg whites. I put the egg whites in a bowl add 1/4 cup of sugar and a 1/4 tsp of vanilla, I put the beater on high. I beat it till i see peaks forming on the top of the icicng.. how you do that is when it gets thicker. you take the beaters and lightly touch the top of the icing if it forms peaks like mountain peaks then its done. i then spread it on my cake . sometimes i will put sugar sprijnkles on it to make it look pretty. not alot tho...it does taste really good. this is a easy and quick recipe...enjoy!
