How do you soften honey when it's still in the honey bear jar?!

Question: I have a recipe that calls for 1/2 cup of honey. I have almost enough, but there's a bit of honey in a honey bear that's hard and I can't soften it. I put it in the microwave twice for 30 seconds each, but it didn't work. I can't get a spoon in to dig it out, any ideas? Thanks, guys.

Set it in a pot of hot (not boiling) water.

Sit the bottle in a bowl of hot water or run it under the hot tap water.

Hope I helped :)

Put the whole container in very warm water.

Try setting it in a bowl of HOT water for a while.

Immerse bottom of the jar in a container of hot water for about 10 minutes.

run it under hot water or put it in a container of hot water for awhile

microwave for a few seconds.

If you have corn syrup... use it to make up the rest of the amount you need for the recipe...
It makes a great substitute!

Putting the bottle in warm water works. My uncle used to send us a bucket of honey every year in exchange for potatoes because he had bees and we farmed potatoes. Having honey in a bucket it would always get hard so we would have to put it in warm water. It works.

Well some people use the hot water and it works, but it takes some time.
If you don't care to much about the honey bear container, there is always the microwave, make sure to set the power as low as possible, and start with like 10 or 15 seconds.
You can even combine the two methods.

let it sit in a bowl of hot water

Heat some water to boiling and put the bear in a bowl and pour the water over it. That should do the trick.

soak it in hot water for ten minutes or so like everyone suggests, but one more thing turn the bottle upside down. the honey still warms up (heat rises), and gravity helps loosen it as well (the honey gets pulled down.) so they meet in the middle.
works for other things as well.
good luck.
